The Fitness Power of Positive Thinking

To optimize the success of your personal fitness goals, you must understand the need to work within a positive cycle. This is the key when making the lifestyle changes necessary for you to reach and maintain your fitness objectives. To optimize your time in the positive cycle you need a fundamental understanding of the relationship between your thoughts, your feelings, your actions and the consequences of these actions.

This cycle can be seen in all of us and, with fitness athletes, it can often determine who succeeds in their goals and who does not. Mind you, success does not simply depend on staying in a positive cycle. Success still means working very hard while exerting the energy necessary to keep yourself in a positive flow. To succeed at anything, strive to interject positive thoughts, positive feelings, and positive actions when and wherever possible. Accept the consequences of your actions both negative and positive, and put in place positive thoughts to turn negatives consequences around. You understanding a simple fact can help you to be better prepared for the task of doing just this.

Seventy-five percent of all our thoughts are typically negative ones. This is a pretty disturbing statistic in a world where people are trying to make positive changes in their lives. First, take the time to learn what you need to do to make the changes you want in your life. Now you have the difficult task of modifying your behavior to allow these changes to take place. To implement these changes, you now must constantly work to keep a positive outlook and pump positive energy into the process just to realize the benefits.

If you understand that the cycle begins in positive thoughts, one can understand the need to find, nurture, and embrace the 25 percent of the positive thoughts that you have and see them through this positive cycle. Grab and embrace these thoughts. Say them often! Internalize and externalize them! Visualize them!

Here are a few basic laws to guide you:

Be guided by the Law of Cause and Effect. The Law of Cause and Effect states that thoughts are the cause of every result. Once we believe that we control our destiny through our thinking, we then have to begin to train our minds as well as our bodies. It is our thinking that creates the possibilities in our lives. You plant the thoughts in your head and that creates a positive attitude and that leads to positive results. You must act in a way that reinforces this behavior. If necessary do the following:

Exaggerate positive behavior.
Do whatever is necessary to feel up! Along with positive thoughts, embrace positive facial expressions. Encourage yourself with words expressed in an open and accepting atmosphere, this enhances peak performance. Expectations are a self-fulfilling prophecy. Positive expectations often lead to positive results. You can determine your tomorrow by what you are thinking today.

Visualize your success.
The Law of Visualization and Positive Beliefs states that what you can perceive and truly believe, you can achieve. We think in pictures. Therefore, by surrounding a picture with positive beliefs and affirmations, it becomes deeply embedded in our psyche and the requested image will unfold.

Visualize the results you want to achieve, believe in the process and watch what wonderful things happen. For example, watch your biceps grow and visualize them growing while you exercise. All of this means that you should find your way into the positive cycle at any point possible and in every way possible even if you must fake it to begin it!

You can alter your mood and feelings by doing simple things, such as listening to music that makes you feel good! Do this at any possible point along the positive cycle simply by concentrating and injecting positive thoughts, positive feelings, and positive actions into your day!

Success means harnessing the 25 percent of your positive thoughts and making them your gateway to success.
