I cleaned up the E92 by hand washing it and then applying a coat of Chemical Guys Butter Wet Wax. That wax is just like the Karate Kid and Mr. Miaggie, wax on wax off.
Here are pics after my first round of mods. I have installed color matched front bumper reflectors, black front grill, carbon fiber side marker/turn signals with smoked led lighting, black rear M3 badging and HRE FF01 wheels. The wheels are 19″x9″ on the front and 19″x10.5″ on the rear. I would like to thank my boy Peter, owner of Wheel Experts, for such a nice set of wheels. Ok, on to the pics.
I decided to replace the stock BMW M3 19″ wheels with a set of HRE Form Flow FF01 wheels in their Tarmac color. The facility wheels are 19×8.5″ on the front and 19×9.5″ on the rear. The new wheels are 19×9 on the front and 19×10.5 on the rear. I will be using the 245/35/19 tires from the stock wheels on the new wheels. But I had to step up from a 265/35/19 to a 295/30/19 on the rear. Now I got to wait for the car to get it’s rear end repaired. 😔
I started making my mods to my e92 M3. I changed the turn signal housing to carbon fiber. I also changed the turn signal from clear with yellow LEDs to a smoked with led fixture. The stock grill has been replaced with an all black grill.
Well the modding will have to be put on hold since a fella decided to run into the rear of my car. And this happened the day before my new wheels arrived. Damn.
As an e92 M3 owner and a photography junkie, damn.
After buying my second BMW M3 I decided it was time to stop taking the mechanic’s word for what is going on with my automobiles. So after a bit of research I bought myself a Carly OBD II device to perform diagnostics, clear codes and reprogram features on my BMWs. It simply plugs into the OBD port and connects to my iPad via wifi. It’s one of the best automotive investments I have made, other than full coverage insurance.

I have had a set of Volk G25’s for a few months and finally got around to taking some pictures. The size/offsets/fitment on the wheels and tires are fantastic. They are very light weight, with the fronts weighing 20.0 lbs and the rears 20.5 lbs. I’m very impressed with the wheels but I have already listed them for sale to move on to something new. I have a wheel problem Volk G25 – Mercury Silver IIWheel Size / Offset: 19 x 9.5 et23 and 19 x 10.5 et25Tires: Yokohama AD08 – 275/30/19 and 295/30/19Spacers: Front – 5mm to clear KW clubsport coilovers, Rear – None
